Gemma Dempsey has been involved in the world of music and film since the late eighties when she worked on the soundtrack of The Last Emperor. Other Music Supervision credits include Shallow Grave, Leaving Las Vegas, Little Buddha and Dear Frankie. Moving from her native London in 1994 to Los Angeles, she began working at NPR's flagship station in Santa Monica, KCRW where she produced Morning Becomes Eclectic and New Ground w/Chris Douridas; Gemma has also associate produced the feature film Boxed as well as the first series of Sessions at W. 54th for PBS. Gemma is on the board of Hollywood HEART, providing summer camps and outreach programs for at-risk youth. Currently Gemma is the Manager for the KCRW's 24/7 music stream, host of the Global Gig Guide podcast and produces KCRW's The Treatment with Elvis Mitchell.
